SignatureSA describe themselves as a versatile and hip young band. They all hail from Belhar and their motto is “You name it, we play it”. The members are all very passionate about music and they motivate themselves with their hashtag
#alwaysmoving. They are between the ages of 19 and 23 and they are connected by the bonds of family and friendship. They say that is what motivated them to start working on realising their dream to start a band. Now they want to make their mark on and contribute to the music industry and further their gifts. Like so many great singers and musicians SignatureSA too have their musical roots firmly in the church. That is where their talents were nurtured and developed. SignatureSA have worked on various stages with top names in the local music industry, such as Mi Casa. They have also supported Loukmaan Adams, Salome, Candice Thornton, Robin Peters, El Clay and Rowlene. They have performed at Jazzathon 2017 and 2018, KKNK 2017, Jazz on the Rocks, MosJazz, Oh Dam Clanwilliam, Good Hope FM’s United in Hope Concert, Agri’s Got Talent 2017 as Karin Kortjé’s backing band and was the resident band at Jackson Hall at GrandWest Casino for three months. SignatureSA’s talented members are currently busy recording their first album with producer, writer and musician Seredeal Scheepers, who has produced DonVino’s first album and worked with Vicky Sampson, Freshly Ground (played with the group for 8 and a half years), Jimmy Dludlu, Mango Groove, Judith Sephuma and Ray Phiri. Each one of the members wrote a song – something unheard of in this industry, particularly given their youthfulness.
